Pandharpur - Shri Vedanidhi Teertharu

The Sixteenth great scholar and saint of Shri Uttaradi Matha was Shri Vedanidhi Teertharu. His name was Koratagi Pradyumnacharya prior to his sanyasa deeksha. Shri Vidyadheesha Teertharu swamiji handedover the reigns of the Matha at Vyasa Asharam. He was a great spiritual luminary with tremendous spiritual powers. He was adorned for his saintly character, profound scholarship and great yogic power by the virtue of the mantrasiddha of "Narayana Astakshari". Shri Vedanidhi Teertharu was honoured by the Nawab of Tiruchirapalli and granted some villages as a gift to the Matha. He was the recipient of many royal gifts. Source:Uttaradhi  Math
